Rainy weather failed to dampen the mood when the third Urban Games was officially launched in Newcastle last Thursday.   While street dancers, DJs and free runners showed off their skills, Rapper Misz Tee Begum performed a specially-commissioned rap as the official programme for the event was announced.   The first Games attracted around 300 people, while the following year the event in Whitley Bay featured some 300 performers and an estimated 8,000 spectators.   Sponsored by SoleHeaven.com, this year’s event – which will be held in Newcastle from August 17-19 – is expected to be the biggest yet. The three days of competitions, showcases and exhibitions will take place near the Centre for Life in Times Square, at the Discovery Museum and around The Monument.     To see full articles and videos: Covered by ITV Tyne Tees, SkyTyne and Wear, The...
